Inter-provincial T20 Trophy fixtures announced

 The Afghanistan cricket board has announced the groups for the 24 teams participating in the upcoming T20 domestic inter-provincial tournament that is scheduled to kick off on 25th of September.

The 24 teams are divided in 8 different groups through a draw system. Teams will play on league basis, where teams play each other in that group.

Two games will be played per day. The first will start at 9 a.m. while the second will start at 1:30 p.m. The ACB is yet to announce the fixtures of the eight groups.

The National Youth Cricket Ground in Kabul is being prepared for the competition where a scoreboard, sigh screen, seats for 2000 spectators are installed. The ACB says press will have press boxes as well to cover the match from the ground.

The spectators will have to pay an entry fee which is divided into three categories: VVIP, VIP and Regular entries. The first category pays 500 Afghanis (10 USD), the second category pays 200 Afghanis (4 USD) and the regular entry is for 50 Afghani (1 USD).

Some rules of the tournament:

In case the teams getting equal points, run rates will be considered to determine the qualifier for the next round. If rain affects a game or is abandoned, the result will be determined based on hit the wicket rules. If the pitch condition was good, the super over rules will be implemented. If two hour time is available, eleven or twelve overs match will be played.

The ACB has drafted detailed rules and provided the same to all participating teams. The rules are based on standard international rules of cricket. The ACB has notified the teams that match committee receives complaints or become aware of any misbehavior, it has full power to make an inquiry and enforce disciplinary actions.

The third team for group H will be selected from Ghor, Daikundi, Bamyan, and Nomades teams. These teams will have to play first and the winner will join group H.
